My 2002 1.8t GTI started its life out as a completely stock piece of Indigo Blue goodness.
The first thing addressed was the tint. It had come with 15% mirrored tint on the back window and the rears, and regular 35% tint on the fronts. Why someone did this, I have no idea, but it looked rediculous.
I stripped the tint and added 20% all the way around, with a windshield strip as well. Also added a ProjektGerman banner across, which I have since changed, and further since gotten rid of.

I also had added matte black vinyl to the sides of the car with the fast logo and "eurotrash" on the bottom, and loved it, however sun took its toll on the matte-look and I got it out of my system and they were removed.
The next thing I addressed was the bumper markers.. I went from the stock amber markers to clear ones from ECS tuning.

After that I got a couple of cheaper items of the tex but good ones nonetheless.. obtained a euroswitch to take care of those nasty daytime running lights and also got a 5" stubby antenna from Black Forest Industries.
Finally I had to take care of that sick 4x4 stance and obtained a used H&R Cup Kit with a drop of 2.0 in the front and 1.7 in the rear. I LOVE it, how it looks and how it feels!

After much thought about headlight choices and wishy-washy'ing between AE headlights and MkV-look headlights, I finally decided on a pair of MkV-look headlights with chrome housing. This is by far my favorite mod so far!

(By this time I had updated my windshield banner :D )
Regardless of what anyone else says about their rear wipers, I'd have to say I NEVER have used mine.. Maybe to play with it or test it, but never really utilized it. Decided to go with a rear wiper delete!

(Also added a custom GTFO sticka.. also one of my favorite things on my car)
Next I had to do something about those tacky stock red taillights. Most people claim that red is the only color a taillight should be unless you do smoked.. I beg to differ when my car is all Blue and Clear. I ordered a pair of ALL clear Hella tails, and had them sent directly to Shifty's Spraywerks. A week or so later, my IB/C/C/IB custom tails arrived :)

After my tails, I decided to quit my salary job and persue tattooing as a full time career. So over the fall/winter, my modding took a back seat.
I got a surprise for christmas though! Kai bought me an Aluminum TT Pedal set with a Dead Pedal. :) No picchers of this yet..
Late this spring, I decided to get Indie ready for the summer and started looking again for new mods. My first decision was wheels. I LOVE my montes, but not aggressive enough for what I wanted (simple, yet defiant.) I purchased a set of OEM Audi TT "Fat Fives" with Pirelli P6 tires, and they were installed at Mike's BBQ.

Shortly after, I purchased the OEM front and rear valence from a fellow vortexer's #0014 20th Anniversary GTI. At the same time, I also ordered a set of Dubtechnik M3 style sideskirts. These are currently in limbo for paint :)
Check back for updates at the end of the month.. should have skirts/valences painted and installed!
