needs some help? (Trunk, fog lights (turns?), etc.)
Not trying to be an ass, just don't understand what is going on there...parts missing, trunk black, etc. Maybe there are reasons for this, and I am lost.
Not every post can be positive, right? Otherwise I like the red and black theme

i believe he lost one of the turn dummies, so he took the other one out. The trunk was a recent purchase because his stock trunk was rather rusty. I believe a new paint job is in this cars future.
I'll let CROWN fill you in with more details. ;)

Dummy fogs suck.. Somehow you always end up losing them. I had the same problems with my passat, even after I bought OEM replacements!!!! :mad:

Dude, MkIII lookin sick! I like those wheels on there! You don't NEED a complete car for it to be B/A! Or, at least I understand to not have all the money in the world to make sure the car is flawlessly perfect, i know we all have prioritys (you know, wheels, suspension obviously come before fogs, DUH) Ahh just tell em to buzz off.. i still don't have my sidemarkers back in my car and i have them laying in my garage, i just have been too lazy to put them in, doesn't mean my car is a POS! (or yours for that matter) LOL.... keep up the good work

i never said that his priorities were out of order.. and who said that it looked like a POS?!?!?!? it will just be a huge difference cleanliness-wise with the dummy fogs back in place. JMO.

+1, I see nothing wrong with the Jetta. It needs bumper lights, oh well. And if he did the hood and roof black, it would look sikkk.

Agreed, if hood and roof were black, great. Put in fogs, a few little details and bam...I would have said NICE!
Understand, I am not ripping the car. I understand it is 'unfinished' at this point.
I in no way mean to be insulting. But when pics are posted it is an invitation for peoples thoughts. I was being genuine in the way I felt. I would rather do that than lie to the guy. I just see a few very obvious things that could be taken care of, and wondered 'is this intentional, am i missing something?'
Besides, my guess is the owner is a younger guy, and at his age I drove a POS that wasn't nearly as nice as his is now...I wouldn't have had the money for anything i have previously mentioned.

I'm 18, college student, dont' work a lot. So parts come when money comes. lol I do need the dummys which i've been lookin at some, I need new taillights before those my taillights are **** and have some silocone sealer **** all over em. I've only had car for about a month late july i think when i bought it. Suspension came first of co urse b/c 4x4 looks horride. Paint is coming soon when i get my rear bumper i'll get paint. I just take pics because we're bored. Yes car needs help im aware of it I don't consider the car awesome or anything, I drive it everyday. My eclipse is the sex flawless except blown trany now. But selling that. It is funny how many people ask if my trunk is carbon fiber even though it looks nothign like carbon fiber and plus why would i get a carbon fiber trunk? Idk. For a 2000 dollar car I think its good lol.

Oh yea and instead of putting dummy lights in get those vents that replace them, those look nice, thats what i did on my 97 gti. Also we have a complete set of smoked taillights that would look good on your car also.

I think I'm the one he is referring to for jumping on his ass.. Though I was just re-enforcing the point that constructive criticism is not demoralizing (for lack of a better work?) the car or the owner.
For how long Crown has had it and with the budget he's on, it looks great so far. THere is always "more to be done", no matter who you are.
