One Weekend + No sleep = ?

I think my neighbor's think i am a crackhead. I just can't understand why! I go to bed around 3am. then get up around 7am and just work all day long... I don't get why they think i have all this "energy".. So i took the huge step with all my free time this weekend and busted some serious ass on the Dub... .....And i'm still not done.. I got a few tricks up my sleeve for my tailights and side markers, but i simply ran out of time this weekend... Hopefully i can get a couple good sideshots of the car tommorrow, and i will post those as well...

oh yeah, since i forgot to take pictures of bodywork, i should tell you what i all did... I fixed a few dents here and there and a couple scratches, the usual.. then i shaved the rear emblem on the decklid, and i ground all the rocker gard crap off the rockers.. I guess it doesn't seem like i did much.. oh well, it took a long time! WOW THOSE PICS SUCK TOO!! THEY MAKE THE PAINT LOOK TERRABLE!

Props for doing something different! And nice work shaving the rear emblem :tu: you should buy an actuator and shave the rear handle also and do the hatch blend. I saw that on a show car at Treffen and it was the sexiest GTI rear ever:

No condensation in the lights, they were really dusty and got a few drops of rain on them coming back from the house.. (where the oven is!!) It does look it though!:tu:

The wheels aren't glossy, they are the same color as the car...
The side markers are getting done with satin clear too so they will match the car pretty well.. so im excited to get them done.

It's actually just PPG DP-90. Its a wet-on-wet sealer, and i just hit the car with two really fat coats and it turned out pretty well. I do plan on painting the car this spring so it won't be a huge deal to knock it down and squirt some paint over it.. I did most of the bodywork before i did the dp-90 so i'll just have to block the car one more time. :tu:

Yeah i like it better this way, i considered painting the wheels with base-clear, but i wanted everything to go together, give it that stealthy look.. Even the joey mod has satin black insted of gloss or flat!

We had the bead broke on the tires. Sanded them down. Filled the gashes with filler and taped off the tires. Boom spray with the sealer.

haha Resurrected! Yeah the car is parted out now, I sold it to a guy, he got it vandalized, totaled out, then my buddy (newman) bought it for parts and parted it out. So LONG SUCKA!
