so after a really long search i narrowed my wheel choices down to just 2:eek:

now i need ur help...

which should i get

BBS

dont worry about the color, i will evertually be getting them powder coated black with a gunmetal dish.

both will also be ordered in 18s

only problem i have is i can get the oettingers in 18x8.5 but with the BBS's i can run a staggered set up with 18x8 or 18x8.5 in the front and 18x9 in the back and i like a staggered look....

i love the big 5 spoke look on the MkV's but i always love the classic vw BBS pattern.

so give me ur opinion please!:D :tu:

I love the BBS pattern as well.. but on your MkV and being in black, go with the Oettingers, IMO :)

The BBS would look better with the mk5... The oettinger gives too much of a boxy look to a rounded car...

BBS, no doubt about it...especially in a high perf aplication, look at the weight dist of the two wheels, not ness the weight of each rim the BBS is a more evenly placed wheel, not to mention everyone else is right, its timeless!

The BBS are sick...you just can't go wrong with them...HOWEVER..

If you bought those BBS (RS GT's?), I would personally be offended if you painted them black...if you want to paint rims black, go cheap...with black they can barely tell what is going on anyway, so why paint an expensive wheel? Now, if you are doing a polished lip, well, that would change my opinoin...but a full black...man...too NASCAR.

Also, the BBS CY's you pshop'd look good, but those are what, 19 or 20" on that car? 18's would appear much smaller i think...

i havent found much on those BBS CYs i just saw them on the tex and no one had any other infor on them. but i wouldnt be painting the whole thing black...

i want to paint the centers black and either keep a polished lip or have the lip painted in gun metal cause im looking for something to seperate the black on black. right now im leaning towards a gun metal lip but the polished grows on my more and more
