Whats the diff between "Suspension Kits" and "Coilovers"?
the H&R Touring Cup Suspension Kit from ecs tuning.com looks sweet, just under 700 bucks or would it be better for my money to get the FK Highsport Coilover System from the same sight for just under 900 bucks? Any thoughts???
Cup Kits include shocks and springs.
Coilovers like the Highsports have a special spring already coiled over the shock. You can also adjust the height on coilovers whereas the springs only have a set drop.
It basically depends on what you want to do with the car. I was entirely happy going with an FK Cup Kit instead of one of their coilover setups. I don't need to adjust my ride height. I just picked a reasonable drop and bolted the stuff on.

If you want adjustable ride height get coilovers also most coilover setups replace your strut mounts with aluminum plates and spherical bearings to reduce deflection in your suspension system...usually also allow for additional alignment adjustment (in the form of sliding top plates for additional camber) plus depending on the coilover you should be able to adjust stiffness (many are a single click wheel usually 4-8 positions of stiffness) another reason for coilovers is the standardized spring diameter which allows you to buy multiple stiffnesses of springs to tweak the handeling of your car...plus adjusting your ride height and preload on the spring will allow you to shift the weight around in your car basically allowing for corner weighting, and weight balancing without using balast

has any one dealt with ECS tuning before?
So it sounds like it might be worth the extra 200 bucks to get the coilovers, cause being able to adjust the ride height would be cool, just so I have that control over how exactly I want the car to look.

Their service is great when they have the parts in stock and you order ONLINE.. i highly suggest not doing any initial ordering over the phone though because that has just been a nightmare with typos..
Apparantly Des Moines is "Def Moinef" even though I called them TWICE to fix it and they never did..
But my in-stock orders have all been lightning fast and good products! :tu:

Um.,....Are you serious? ECS tuning is the ****. After dealing with a few other vendors (Vast, Germanautoparts.com, Shokan, etc) I will only deal from now on with ECS and AWE. I believe stevie said the exact same thing when he waited almost 3 freaking weeks for his exhaust. I've ordered tb kits for both my cars, motor mounts, control arm kits, turbos, oil lines, clutches, etc.... I have a pile of invoices from them and nothing but great experiences. When I ordered my Brake Booster I also ordered stainless lines and 3 liters of Pentosin Blue. They forgot 2 of the liters of brake fluid. What they did? The Next day'd me 3 L of Mogul 600....FOR FREE!!!! I have built a great relationship with them and have no problem promoting their business
