Not sure a date to put on but there is a place in Hampton Empire Park Parking lot

lots of older guys go there and meet up all the time with old super beetle and rabbits and trucks

just thought maybe if we had a gtg there they might stop by and chit chat with us

Sounds like it could make for an interesting GTG. Any more info on this location? What city it is actually located in?
I wonder if all those guys you are talking about are with the Bi-State VW Club (http://home.mchsi.com/~bistatevw/)?

Y'know, with all these GTG's being planned, we'll be set straight through the rest of the year! :eek:

Its Right off HWY 84 in Hampton/East Moline IL

i not sure if thats them or not but most of them live in hampton. i see them working on there cars in there garage when i go to my gf house

Unfortunately several of us are planning to go to Treffen in Chicago that weekend. That would be an awesome event for you to make it out to, especially since Chicago is only about 2.5 hours from you. :tu:

what happens if we made and official gtg at this spot for ourselves and maybe bi state would show a little

Find a date that will work and start planning. ;) I'd love to see other members become more active in setting up GTGs and events. I would even try to contact Bi-State if you're up to it. I met several of the Des Moines area Bi-State guys and they were really cool. :tu:
