Well, I've been done now for an hour or so. Took Us only about 5 hours to do the entire job on Minh's(sp?) car. The car came apart much easier than Jared's did. Jared will have to post his final pictures from his digicam tomorrow. As for now, here's some ****ty cell phone pictures. I'm tired, and taking a shower and going to bed.
Backing out for a test drive. Famous HID shot

All in all. It was a long, tiring, frustrating, and fun day. And we all kept all of our fingers :)

haha after all these months. i got them on finally, but i think my front shocks are blown... they are making a crazy thumpy noise... Dan can jump in on this.. he heard the noise tooo. Im not 100% sure its the shocks, but i am going to order a new front set... lesson learn'd. Dont buy used shocks. would it be weird if i had koni rears and bilstein fronts? hehehe
someone just confirm!!! thumping noise over every bump = shocks... that is if im not rubbing on anything.

You can check if your struts are bad. If they are leaking in the next few days then they are bad. (the previous owner may have wiped them clean, now that they're back in use if they ever leaked they will resume leaking). Also, one way to check your struts is by pushing one side of your car down in the front and try to get it rocking. Quit rocking it. If it stops once it comes back up, they're good, if not, they're not. Usually if it comes back up to ride height, then one slight dip after that, they're good as well. IF it continues to rock you may want to look into bilsteins....DO NOT GET THE HDs as the valves are not set up for lowered cars.
Really the only bolt that may be possibly mis-torqued is the lower control arm to the strut clevis (bottom of the strut). I didn't take a look at either one of them (driver or passenger side) after you guys put them in and I apologize for that. They are basically the only bolt on the suspension that can cause that "clunk" if it's not torqued correctly. That bolt acts as sort of as a tensioning device to squeeze the strut clevis around the lower control arm. If it's not tight enough, then the clevis will not sit tightly around the lower control arm and it will move/clunk when the assembly compresses. I was so tired last night and 1 AM that I couldn't think of any of this. I apologize again. See if you can get under the car and crank those lower bolts at all. I wanna say they're roughly 18 and 19mm for the bolt and nut. Off the top of my head they take 90 NM plus a half turn for stock shocks (thats about 65-70 foot lbs + a half turn) They should be VERY tight and there should be no spacing between the strut clevis and the strut mount bushing. Tighten them up if you can turn them at all and see if it goes away. Or you could swing up around noon one of these days (I don't work until 4 everyday this week) and I could throw an air socket+torque wrench on them just to double check everything. I should have done that saturday but I was busting ass on the rear and I read off the torque specs to Jared. Sometimes when doing the lower strut clevis you can get a false torque reading depending on the type of metal/width of the clevis (Harder metals take more torque to successfully "hug" the lower control arm). I blame no-one but myself for that mistake (if that is truely the problem) because as I said, I didn't double check it. I know what to look for and I overlooked it. Let me know if you can come up in the next day or 2. You have my number

Hey Mihn, if you're gonna be in town this weekend we could quick throw on your stock struts on saturday morning. See if it still clunks (I'm guessing it wont). This should prove my theory that your struts are bad.
