So who wants one, who's getting one?

I was paying my phone bill at AT&T/Cingular Store last night, and the display convinced me that I need one when I collect the 500 odd dollars that someone owes me. (I had wanted one before, but now that I've actually had one out and seen how it works.. holy sister mary I want one!!!!!)

I like them, but I am going to wait a while, just to see how things work out with the current ones. I really wish it could be used on Verizon's network as I already have a family plan going with them for me and my wife. Plus her whole family is on Verizon so we should keep one verizon phone for the free calling.

One of the reasons I about crapped my pants when I found out what server it would be used with and only be used with.. I switched to Cingular over a year ago and I love it :hungry:

I read on the apple website that there are a huge amount of people switching to AT&T just for the iPhone.. I bet they're happy :eek:

I am worried about getting it so early because I know that they have got to have aton of bugs to work out, but Apple has always backed their products well.

If you like black screens and lockups go and get one. I would wait until they revise it at least once. But, no I will not get one. I am up for a new phone at VZW and I don't like any, so I'm just sticking with my VX8100 for now.

I really like the fact that it has built in wi-fi, but apparently you can only use the wi-fi 150 times a month. Shouldn't be an issue, but it doesn't make sense why there is a limit on that :rolleyes:

I didn't know about the wifi limit.. that is a little weird. I was digging in the brochure for plans with it last night and it didn't mention that at all. :td:

I was reading up on it on CNET.com and I am really not to impressed. Oddly I thought I would be all over it because I'm mac guy. Right now I don't have confidence in Cingular's plans, or apple being capable of making a phone.

Everything on the iphone is great, except the actual phone feature itself. If they made it without the phone capabilities I would be all over it probably, if the price was right.

Right now i am sticking to windows mobile 5 (mobile 6 in a month). Sprint's internet plans are a steal. I pay $15 a month for unlimited internet usage (no restrictions whatsoever!). On top of that, Sprint offers EVDO service in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City very soon. At times EVDO is as fast as my Mediacom service.

Wait on the iphone like everyone has said...I think it needs at least 4 or 5 months before I go a lookin

I will probably wait until they release another version of the iPhone or at least until they can deal with the mountain of glitch claims I am sure they are geting. You can only prep a product so much before you release it, ya know?

But I will be getting one.. My SLVR is going to bust here within a matter of a year anyway.

if you have a slvr....you can just get something else of like ebay and swap your sim card in and you will have a new phone...thats what i have done

Lol good point Marcus, but that's not the point of me getting a new phone.. i dont NEED a new phone, I mean, the slvr is getting pretty beat, but I could probably beat it for another year or two, or more.. its a tank of a phone.

Its that I usually don't like phones, and when i see one I actually like i end up going for it. (weird girl spoiling herself concept, don't ask)

There was some shmuck over at PW trying to sell one to make a profit when they first came out and got flamed big time (because he was trying to make money.) There were a lot of good points made as far as the iPhone's weaknesses. It definitely steered me away from them. I have a video iPod anyway, but still...
