It fixs the PCV leak that the MKV has when boosted higher than factory levels of PSI. I would get this anyway depending on how much it costs.

yes the PCV leak could be fixed with a one way check valve though (that is the way a lot of other boosted cars handle it

The DV you should replace when boost gets high enough to make the leak a problem or you start to get compressor surge
