I don't know the price, but I gave the guy our card and he said he would come. Anyway, I just went buy him while on work and he was parked at the wrong place. So I asked him what was up and he said that it doesn't want to start. So we try to jump start it, but nothing. All we heard was the clicking noise when he turns the key. To me it sounded like starter was f-d up. But it starts on colder days, he says.
I'll snap some pics when I get a chance.
But anyway, just thought I'd give heads up to anyone who is looking for VR6 engine or something.

Will do. I asked him about the price. He didn't really know right at the spot.
But he said if he sells it, he might buy an Mk. III again.
And yeah, that left rear fender is rusted, but nothing a body shop can't fix.

oh..that's just me saying. i have no idea what the price is, or how much would you give for it. but it also has starting issues. i couldn't jumpstart it during hot weather. but once it cooled down (i mean weather, not the engine), VR6 started on its own.

oh i understand. that starting issue is kinda weird

you're talking about seeing mine, right? heheh...I haven't seen my rabbit in a week. Its been hit, and is sitting in a repair shop right now. waiting for new doors. I'm driving a rental KIA Rio right now.

really someone hit you already? bet doors for a rabbit are real cheap from the dealer since there is not too many in the salvage yard yet.

Yeah. Some girl with an oldsmobile. yeah, the doors are soo cheap that the whole United States of America didn't have them. They had to haul them from Germany. :D

Got it picked up tonight. too bad it is going to be a parts car. It would be a pretty decent car if it didn't have such rust issues. Never seen a 98 with that much rust. Oh well. So if anyone needs any parts off it we will be parting it out.:tu:

I may be interested in some of the parts. I'll have to wait and see what all comes out of it. :tu:

yes the rear qtr and below the rocker really rusted like fist sized hole. we picked it up for a great price and the only reason it would not start right up is cause it needs an ignition switch:tu:

how many miles on the vr? and what would you want for the obdII engine harness and a few other things like the timing chain cover and coil packs. i might wanna go obdII on my swap instead of obdI distributor.
