Are you goint to put your new wheels on in the snow?
No. I am putting the snow tires on my current wheels (the TSWs) and swapping the Kumho tires onto the new wheels.

Damn, that is one small lip, now go show vortex your car when that thing hits. You will be so low! Looks good, too bad you have license plate holes in the bumper :(

I'm only using that lip for winter though. As soon as spring hits I'll be sporting a Vento lip or a Vento VR6 lip. As for the bumper holes, it already had a couple from the previous owner's plates, so it's not a big deal. Plus, I can always cover them all up with a europlate if I'm attending a show. :tu:

what are the differences between all 3 lips? mainly the vento and CL.
what are the differences between all 3 lips? mainly the vento and CL.
I'm glad you asked. :D
The CL lip is smaller than anything we have in the US.
The regular Vento lip is comparable to the stock NA lip, but slightly deeper. It only fits Vento bumpers.
The Vento VR6 lip is comparable to the Euro VR6 lip that everyone bolts on to their cars, but again, only fits Vento bumpers.

Thanks. If we get a day where all the snow melts and the roads are clean, I may throw them on for a bit just to snap a few pictures. :D

I don't know. The Vento bumper is shaped differently than the regular US Jetta bumper, so it will probably fit your bumper differently. Also, you won't find the regular Vento lip for cheap. They go for around $100 or more.

Those will look excellent on your car. Hopefully the additional bolt pattern holes wont be too noticable. Did they give you caps or anything?

I was a little concerned about the multi-lug look, but I think they'll look great on the car. They did send me centercaps, but I'd like to find something besides the Sportmax stickers to put on the inside.

You should have some kind of PKG stickers made up and put those on the center caps. :tu:

Holy crap Mike, that looks amazing. I wasnt sure how the roof rack was gonna look in the end but the rims make it work. Absolutely stunning MKIII. My only suggestions would be to get cup mirrors for it and maybe a bigger lip. The skinny lip worked well with your old rims but I think a bigger lip would look better with the rims you have now. I really wish I had a MKIII right now.

Thanks man. I appreciate the comments. A deeper lip will be coming in the spring. I've only got this skinny lip on there right now because its the one that came with my Euro bumper. The VR6 lip that I had on before won't fit this Vento bumper.
Some chops I did this morning:
The base chop (Thule 555 fairing, smoked e-code headlights, Vento rear bumper, Vento VR6 front lip):

base + Borbet Type-As:

Love the wheels. Badgeless grill chop looks hot. The roof rack you've got with the thule fairing looks nice - but with any cargo rack it loses the subtile in my opinion... but I like your directions here.

I love the contrast with the black and grey. Any plans for spacers at all? It looks like you have a bit more room back there from the pics - not sure though.

Spacers might come into play. The rears do have a bit of space left to go.
