doin an exhaust cutout? bad or good?? ....also i have a loud nock from lifter told it is a upper lifter lubricator? i beleive thats right.. what is the best way to fix that..the noise is extremely annoying to be next to someone at a light hahah
any help works

Exhaust cut outs are fine as long as there after the cat or at least the primary 02. What kind of car we talking about has lifter noise? Never heard of an upper lifter lubricator kinda sounds like a muffler belt lol. Vr6? As it's probably chains or intake rod bushings at least that's all I can think of from the post it's pretty vague.

There is nothing called an upper lifter lubricator, atleast to the best of my knowledge. There is a chain on one end of that motor with a tensioner that has a screen in it that can get clogged up with crap. Not enough oil pressure gets to the tensioner and creates noise. Another thought is that your oil pickup is clogged with crap and causing low oil pressure which could certainly result in noises. Or you have low oil pressure. Another thing is make sure you are using a good oil filter as i have seen cheap oil filters cause problems.
