In case anyone hasn't heard, last week v-dubslavin3 told me he dropped his tranny in the jetta. the first thing i said was don't tell me you did a nuetral drop. all he did was get a huge smile and say, yep. i asked why he was so happy about it he replied with, cuz i get to drive the new bimmer all week. so the cost of dropping a tranny to drive the bimmer, is it worth it?

Sounds like a pricey fix on the Jetta, Bimmer or not. :td:

Maybe you guys should start treating your VWs a little better than doing burnouts and neutral drops. My $0.02.

well, it was nothing against you really, I just get irritated when people brag about how they beat their cars. Sure they are going to break when you do a neutral drop, sure the tranny and cv joints are going to click when you do burnouts. Granted we all do a little here and there, but not blatantly laying your car on the line. :peace:

Replace It With A 6-speed So He Can Fulfill His Burnout Urges!!!

Yeah no lecturing needed, but your cars will start burning oil and die.... it's ok and fun to get on it, it's part of the scene, just be ready to be responsible for any consequences of how you drive.

I do not beat on my car. I about shot myself when I bumped a curb this winter...I thought the car was just goona be a mess, didn't want to look. I drove home the remaining 5 blocks.....yes only 5 blocks from home when it happened. Took it to the alignment shop the next day and was told no damage.."you don't know how to hit a curb".

Have fun with your car....it's why you bought it, but expect to pay the price down the road.
