debadged is the only way to go. It looks a lot cleaner!

DBADGD the movie is pretty sweet - I have a copy as well but I haven't been able to find it for awhile.

Great job, Casey! :tu: The car looks awesome without the badges. Plus now people don't know you're hiding a VR6 under the hood. :D

nice im keeping mine on, actually im adding a 2.0t badge to the other side but its more for a red accent on the back than for the badges, plus i like things that are symmetric thats why im putting another on

I thought you guys would like it :D

I got some waxed floss, plastic razor blades and some adhesive remover and went to town.

Plus yeah the engine sounds so different, people will be like "what dat be?"

And.... I can give or mail a "backup" of DBADGED to anyone, but my computer is not avail to me but every other week, so...

Things will be very symmetric if you take off the badges... ;)

But then its symmetrical and clean looking. You don't need red on every single angle of your car to carry a theme.

well if i have red on 3 outta 4 sides i think it would look lacking in the back like i forgot that part, when itl be the side most people will see anyway :D

Jake I think that the red pinstripe on your grill is enough red accent to pop out and grab your eye. Red calipers are always cool too but when you sit in the car that's when you want the theme to continue with some red accents, not just the outside... my 2 cents anyways.

Nothing better than being dbadged. :tu:

calipers came painted red. i have plans to do interior if i can find a cheap interior trim kit mnguyen said he would try his hand at a black and red carbon fibre weave for my interior trim which would be sick, other things planned as well. i got an image in my head, im working on making it reality, exhaust come first tho

I always liked the shift and e-brake boots with color-matched stitching also. :tu:

But stick on dash kits are a no-no. Real trim or leave it. (But that's just my opinion)

My calipers are all red too (VW standard??) but it appears that some rocks have chipped some away... when I change the front pads I will more than likely take them to the powdercoater for a fresh look. Maybe they will be orange instead of red ;)

That would be really cool to get them colored to match your orange paint. :tu:

That would be it. I can't believe they didn't throw those on the cars to begin with. The GTI badge has always been red as far as I can remember. Why put chrome on the new ones.

Sorry that's only kind I've seen... No offense intended jake, I don't know what those people are smoking when they put that on their dash. I've seen one in person and they are really bad.

If you can get some red and black carbon inside your car I say go for it.
