I'm going to get robot legs surgery JUST for this movie!

I am highly excited for this movie. Is there any Imax 3D showings in DSM or QC? We lost our imax in CR. :emo:

I'm not 100% positive, but I heard the science center Imax is having a 3D showing..

just checked its not listed yet if there is gonna be one. just the new harry potter and another one. i hope we get it!! im stoked to see it. we should have a tron gtg! lol. there is also talk, pre-production? possibly of a 2nd IMAX in dport! at the cinemas!

Is the IMAX at the museum even popular enough to warrant a second IMAX in the QC? I live like 4 blocks from the Putnam.

The IMAX in DSM is not 3D, sir. And at this point, we have no plans to show Tron, unfortunately.

Des Moines IMAX update - we will most likely be getting Tron: Legacy in about three weeks as a second-run. Since the movie was released in 3D, it goes to 3D theaters first and then we 2D/Dome theaters get it next :)

I am so excited to go see this movie....even more since I just found out a guy I went to school with is the director. The town I graduated in is going crazy about it I guess. He was a band geek in school...funny shit.

Went to the late show and was very surprised that the theater wasn't full. Movie was pretty good needed a little bit more oomph in my opinion and I must admit I am not sure this would be as good in 2D. The story made since and had a few nice twists. The battles were good but need a little more to them. I am listening to the soundtrack as I write this and must say daft punk did very nicely in creating a terrific electronic feel to the movie. I don't think any other type of music would of worked for this movie during the action scenes. I feel it stayed true to the original but made the movie feel modern and even though it is a sequel you don't have to of seen the original to follow along. There were some interesting things that were in the movie for those who grew up with the original that kind of brought back the feeling the original movie gave us as kids. When I was walking out to my GTI, sitting by itself in the empty area of the parking lot, I felt myself wishing that it was a Light Bike from the movie.....that's the feeling you should get after watching a movie. Overall I would say this movie is worth the money to go see in 3D and would definitely add to my 3D collection when I eventually switch over to the godawful expensiveness that is the move towards home 3D viewing.
