Not always true. Some people dont want mods.

I think it is a nice looking A6 but I wouldnt pay $16k for it, but thats just me. I see clean S4 stg 3's going for less.

A car is only "worth" what people are willing to pay for it.

Mods != more money.

Usually, mods = you wasted your money on what YOU wanted to do when you owned it.

GLWS nonetheless.

***by the way, in coding/database world the != is the way to say "does not equal"....

Its above KBB but the V8 version is hard to find and have a couple grand in options that arent listed on KBB. I'm selling it, so I figured why not post it here since I'm a member. I dont think I'll have any problem getting 16k for it and if I dont I wont sell it. Sorry if I offended anyone with the post, LOL.

Its a very nice car. fragile n expensive to maintain. I spent the price of a new corvette to make a triumph spitfire a respectable ride. To me it was worth it at the time. Sorry about ramblin on at your car sale thing. carry on......

yeah 9 times out of 10 mods depreciate a cars value, usually quite alot. most people assume if a cars modded it's had the shit beat out of it. nice looking car though.

you are a user, if you were a member you would have a red bar under your name.

i still vote that classifieds are public but only paid members and/or users with 100+ posts can start a thread (but thats a topic for a different thread)

Agreed! Most dealers won't trade in mod rides unless it goes back to back or they do and totally bend you over I got a dealer breaking my balls over my gti grill that I swapped out to can the the double slate jetta grill! Basically for the dealer is objective number one bone you however they can and then throw your car front row on the lot!

Pardon the thread-jack, but where the hell did that sentiment come from, man? This ain't no damn country club.

To keep on topic. I noticed you have no type of tranny listed. I'm gunna figure because it's a 4.2L A6 that it's an automatic? I dunno much about these cars so I could be wrong but when I shop for a car the first thing I look for is the type of tranny it has. Just a helpful note.

With Audi's, you can pretty much assume that if it has a 4.2L V8 and is not a B6/B7 S4 or a B7 RS 4 or an R8, then it has a Tiptronic transmission.

Guys lets keep it on topic. If you don't like the price move on and keep it to yourself. They have every right to list whatever they want just like you all do also.

I want to personally apologize if i made aair16 or anyone else feel unwelcome. i have no hard feelings or issues with unpaid members posting and taking part in the PKG family.

my only consern is that this is the only forum i am a part of that has "issues" with threads like these and ironically it is the only one i am a part of that allows either new and/or unpaid members (users) to list classifieds. when i get more time i will start a tread and give thoughts/site references.

as things stand now aair16 is acting within the forum rules and has a very nice car. i am a 540 fan and i still would not be ashamed to own or drive this car ;) it would be nice to see it stick in the pkg family. i can not justify the purchase myself, but you could at least give me some interior/ under hood shots to lust over.

once again, i am sorry. the thread is within the current rules and i was out of line sharing my opinion here.

Another tip too for putting an Audi of that price range especially up for sale on here is service history that you have done or that you have records for. Like timing belt? Water pump? I know when I've been in the market for an Audi and looking for one that is the very first thing I look for to read about. Sweet car none the less though. Just trying to help you out though very nice car.
