This shifter is pretty awesome. How do I know if it works for our cars? Just look in the background of the main picture, that dash assembly HAS to be VW or Audi.

That's because it IS VW Rabbit or GTI. See the "Oh ****" handles?

I dont know why VW didn't put into the dash something where you could see what gear you're in with manual transmissions. I guess its not needed because you can feel it just by touching the gear shift, but still wouldn;t hurt either.

I dont think its a GTI, no plaid seats. Probably a Rabbit then.

It's a neat idea, but won't your hand being covering the gearshift knob?

Very cool. I've been thinking about a new one lately.... Doesn't it say "universal for all cars up to 6 speed" on the listing?

that looks really cool -- i like it but i dunno if it'd come off as tacky in my interior...

I was thinking the same thing.

Dont get me wrong, I think it's pretty sweet, just not very practical.

Personally when i shift, my hand is directly over the top, but when cruising its usually off to the side a bit so i could handle it. Plus a litle more red lighting on the interior would be cool. My only downside is, i'd like to see how sturdy it feels, ours are rock solid as is. I wouldnt want to by a plastic feeling shift knob.

Feel is crucial to a shift knob. Plastic junk breaks real quick.....would rather not have that happen while driving. But it is cool......
