new VW guy from waterloo/ames

Hey all,
My name is Justin. I have an '87 GTI 16v (currently in Kevin's shop). I am from the waterloo area going to school in ames. John found me and pointed me towards the club and it seems like a cool thing you guys got goin here. Hopefully we can get some people together for some autocrosses (next one in wloo is may 6th).

credits-wise im a senior, years-wise im finishing my junior year, reality-wise im gonna be here for another two years at least. My major is mechanical engineering. I had the GTI in ames for about a week before it started throwing lug bolts and I had to have a friend trailer it back up to lichtys. I normally drive a geo metro, so I guess its understandable that no one has hunted me down for a german car club yet.

thats cool man, i was biology major and a was gunna be a jr in it next semester but i decided the classes are borring and im not interested anymore so i changed my major to mech. engineering and ill be a fresh man in that next semester...woohoo:(

yeah, ME pretty much sucks as far as work but its kept me interested so far. If you ever need help with anything Ive got a bunch of knowledge/ engineering friends/ old notes & books.

p.s. anyone know an asian kid in the ames area that drives a brand new lil red mercedes? he rearended me last night (no damge done)
