aww CRAP! (window issues)

So I was cruising home in the Audi (yes I still have it :mad: ) and decided that windows down, sunroof open and stereo blaring was a good idea!! Its a great evening, why not!?

Well, got home was closing everything up and NOPE on the drivers window. NOTHING. A little bit of noise from the motor but thats it. So I pull the door card and still nothing.

The window moves stiffly by hand but the regulator is not going up and down. Is it time for the regulator repair? http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/358185-How-to-Fix-broken-window-tracks?highlight=window

could be just a motor going bad. unbolt it from the frame and see if it moves. if not u know whats the problem. The link above is good and its really simple

I think I need to do the above repair as the motor sounded like it wanted to move and the shielded cables shifted when I hit the button.
