So ive been searching for an hour or so and still cant find a DIY on removing/polishing/installing the intake manifold on a vr6 engine. any ideas on where i can get some pics/help for this?

on a side note i have an idle problem still :screwy: example is that if im stopped in drive it seems to want to jump very little in RPMs but you can feel the jump everytime, not really a big deal but just want it fixed lol..

second side note haha, i just landed a job at john deere so ill be making a little extra to throw some dough into the jetta :partay:

You have a mk4- [plastic] manifold, wtf man??

For your idle, take off the throttle body and clean it with carb cleaner, and if that doesn't fix it, czech for vac leaks, ie, inspect vac hoses, boots, connections. I'd bet the farm it's one of those 2.

I think it'd look hot, if it was possible. A+ for creativity.

Yeah it seemed weird/cheap to me that the mk4 one was plastic, til I felt a mk3 vr mani after a drive- heat soak all up in it's harbles!!
