I'm currently running an '01 Audi A4 Quattro (Base) with the 2.8L v6. My radiator is toast. I have a couple gearhead friends with the tools and knowledge needed to help me put a new one in, but I just want to make sure I get all the necessary parts. I'm not great with the internal workings of a car personally, so I could use some advice here on what to get and where to get it.

At a bare minimum, I'm assuming I'll need the radiator itself and new upper/lower hoses. My question is, do I also need new hose o-rings or a new radiator mount? Also, I'm having trouble tracking down the dimensions of the stock radiator... I'd rather not have to do any custom drilling or a custom mount, so a direct replacement for the stock would be greatly preffered.

That's about it. If anyone can offer any advice, I'd be greatly appreciative.

You dont need any hoses unless they are cracked. New o rings on the flanges is a good idea. At any parts store when you tell them your make and model should be able to get you bolt in radior no cutting or custom brackets.

Okay, shop was just trying to nickel and dime me to death then. They wanted to replace the hoses, but they aren't cracked or leaking. Thanks for the quick reply

well i work at a shop and only time i replace hoses is when they need to be replaced , cracked if they have been under lots of ressure like if the car had a bad headgasket ect.
