Have you tried mexico? they still make MK1 beetles down there I would bet that they make those too.

actually the beetle went out of production there in 2004, they made a final model that was called the "ultimate edition"

Of course...there is emissions, HP competition etc...You can't go into production with 46kW of power as the original Golf Mk. I had..:D
