Last week I decided I didn't want to get rid of the Jetta yet. So this week I started ordering new parts for the turbo.

Today in the mail I got my Forge 007 DV, the HKS was leaking boost. Once installed (about 10 minutes) I noticed it was idling better, and holding more boost. I'm sure the ECU is still adjusting, but I was holding a little over 17psi is second gear and spiking around 20, compared to only holding 13 or 14 with the other valve. So far I am very impressed, but mad that I have been lazing and ignorant not to order it earlier.

I also ordered a TIP, and Samco intake hose, spark plugs, MAF, coilpacks, and VF dogbone mount. Once I get all these little things taken care of I'm going to do a K04, and upgrade to the APR K04 software. Hopefully in the next month, depending on when I can get to Chicago for the software upgrade and V-tune. I'm still debating whether to swap out the GLI turboback for the APR GLI 3" turboback before or after I do the K04.

Also on the list for next month is Votex skirts, and front spacers.

And to think the spending was close to over......:D :D

Do the exhaust at the same time as the K04 if you can....might be easier.

No more pickachu sounds.....you will be impressed I didn't even reverse the DV

That would be ideal to do them at the same time....especially for the tune....or maybe before since I'm going to turn the boost up a little bit on the software

but damn that's a lot of cash for a college student!!

Glad to hear you're holding on to the Jetta. Can't wait to finally see it in person, especially with all the new parts. :tu:

Havent been on PKG too much lately, but maybe when you are ready to do the K04, we can talk. I have several connections that may be able to help you out a bit.

Sounds like a good plan!
